Does music inspire you? Do you like to go to your edge? Are you the type of person who doesn’t take him or herself too seriously and likes to laugh often? April’s class may be the perfect place for you to practice. She doesn’t think the mat is the only place to practice yoga. What you learn on the mat gets carried off the mat and into the fabric of your life. Take your yoga off the mat and be the best version of you possible. With her professional dance background, come prepared to challenge your brain as well as your body with intelligent & creative sequencing. In between moments where you're reaching your edge and when there just might be a reprieve, you may find an unexpected joke. There is a deliberate and gradual build up in her classes that prepares you to reach your full potential by the end of each class. You will leave class invigorated, inspired and wanting more. The first half of class will kick your asana but the second half will kiss it.
April Jones is the owner of Yoga Central located in beautiful La Quinta, CA just outside of Palm Springs. There you will find a warm and welcoming community for yogis with monthly workshops, teacher trainings and an annual retreat to Costa Rica.
I'd love to learn to play the guitar or any musical instrument for that matter. Nothing brings people together better than music. To be able to bust out a guitar anywhere and create happiness through music has got to be a truly satisfying feeling. I ordered a DVD set a few years ago and set out to teach myself guitar. Let's just say I should stick to teaching yoga.
Oh free time! I've heard of that! Actually, when I get a hidden minute or two, I'll call a friend that I haven't spoken to in awhile. It's important to stay in touch with the ones we love no matter how far away we may be from each other.
My last meal. Every meal I have is amazing. It's no secret that I love to eat. In my opinion it's up there as one of life's greatest pleasures. Life is way too short to suffer through a rice cake. It doesn't have to be fancy to be delicious - just pure, clean food is always amazing.
This question challenged me the most. I don't really identify with any fictional characters and honestly I'm happy being myself. That is so cliche' I know. But seriously, isn't yoga about finding contentment within ourselves, Santosa. I try to practice what I preach. Now Brahmacharya on the other hand........
The sound of my daughter's laughter. Period.
